Having discovered the source of my "happy camper" delusions

I had this! It was one of the first toys I really recall playing with and I loved it beyond all reason. In fact, I loved it so much that I recently unearthed a hazy memory of my father taking me to a toy store and saying I could have whatever I wanted. Thus unleashed, I cleverly asked for another Barbie camper exactly like this one - but in blue. Proving that even early on I never did have any sense.

I believe we have discovered the source of my ongoing delusion that camping is effortless, fun, and will give you the proportions of an 11" fashion doll (plastic boyfriend and stout friend who does all the cooking sold separately). I should have asked for Barbie's airplane. Perhaps she had a cruise ship or private island that could have inspired me?
